Does dropping the iPod a certain way affect the wifi signal?

Thank you for taking the time to look over my problem. As well all know dropping the iPod can lead to a broken screen at some point. In my case the screen is so damaged that I can see where the wifi cable is screwed in. Before, the wifi in my house would just come right up no problem, but after that one time I dropped my iPod on it's face, I have to literally put the iPod up close to the modem, and even then I get only 2 bars. If there is anyway for me to fix this and bring it back to normal, please let me know whenever you can.

Hi Z Jones,

You might need to open the iPod to check it out and to fix the issue. However, I would recommend that you definitely replace the screen using this guide.

The wifi cable or connection might have been affected by the drop. When you open your iPod, check this flex cable and if it is still connected to the motherboard. See here.
