I can't recover my iPhone 4s! (Error code 3194)

Hi guys I can't seem to fix this problem I'm having with my iphone 4s. It just doesn't want to recover. I keep getting this stupid message:

I changed the battery, and replaced the screen and now I get this message. I just want to use my iphone again. If there is anything I can do to fix this myself please help me. Any ideas why I keep getting this message?

Your problem is caused by hardware. You need to go to the Apple store to fix the issue. By the way, the 3194 error can be fixed by this method.

How to Resolve iPhone Unknown Error 3194

Note: This way can't fix hardware problems.

nothingacceptable, try this:"

Close iTunes

Locate your hosts file, in Mac OS X this is /etc/hosts and in Windows c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Use word pad or notepad to open the hosts file with Administrator privileges

Add the following line to the very bottom of the hosts file:" #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com "

if 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com is already,\ in the host file you need to add # just before it #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

Restart your computer

Turn off windows firewall

Connect your iPhone to the computer and start iTunes

Place the iPhone into DFU mode by turning it off and then holding down the sleep and power button for 10 seconds, then release the power button but hold onto the home button until iTunes tells you that the device is now in recover mode.

Then hold shift click restore, point to the downloaded iOS firmware.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi I did what you told me to do but still I get the same error message. I don't know if I did it correctly though. Here is a pic of what I did:

Any other suggestions?

That looks right the # allows you to write comment in the host file without being read. So, that looks right. what happened when you placed the phone into DFU mode

Well I should of put this in the description but I'll put it here. So to start off the reason that I replaced my iphone's battery and the screen was because the screen was cracked and the battery was not working. So I replaced those and now every time I connect my iphone to my pc or an outlet to charge it just restarts. Like first it shows the battery charging and then it shows the apple logo AND IT JUST REPEATS AND REPEATS. So DFU mode can't work while this is happening because the iphone must be turned off but i can't because this is happening. I put it in recovery mode instead hoping to fix this problem but it gives me the 3194 error message when trying to recover it. Now I don't know what to do. ;(

Thank you for clarifying that. Interestingly enough, this reminds me off a battery error. Check your work on the battery as well as all the connectors and cables. If it did not do that with the old battery, replace your new one with the old one and see what happens.

Check if you have iTunes or iCloud backup of your iPhone first, if you have either of them, try to recover deleted text messages from iPhone with previous backup.

iTunes and iCloud will automatically back up your iPhone even if have not done it manually:

iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your iPhone on a daily basis as long as your device is:

Connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi

Connected to a power source

Screen locked

iTunes can create backups of your iPhone automatically when you sync with iTunes (disabled if you have iCloud backup turned on).

Still haven’t found your iPhone backup? These are still other methods to recover deleted texts on your iPhone with iPhone Data Recovery.

To check again whether you can connect to iTunes or not. If it does not work, maybe your iTunes version is not the lasts one, you will download a new one and install it. However, if this work does not work well, you can connect it by WiFi or connect it via iCloud.

However, I suggest some iPhone data recovery software for you to recover your iPhone. It supports three methods whatever you like to recover it from iPhone directly, from iTunes, from iCloud. Read the tutorial to get more detail.
