Can a new mac be loaded with old operating system?

We just purchased a new mac air book for our office. All of the other computers in our office use the OS X 10.7.3 operating system. The new computer uses OS X 10.8.2. Are we able to load the old operating system onto the new computer so that all of our computers match and will not have communication issues in the future?

In the past no Mac would even boot from a system lessor than what it shipped with. But the difference is the two systems is very negligible.

As long as you don't have a Retina display model. A retina displayed model may look a like funky as the resources it needs is in the newer OS, it still should work.

create 2 partitions on the same HDD (hard drive)

amy and kim are an example ! (the first partition (amy's part ) is used with the osx 10.8)

the second partition (virgin partition) where you have to install the old operating system 10.7 !

how to do that ?

go to this menu

select start( demarrage)

and select the optical drive (with osx10.7 installation)
