Damaged Display Connector - Any hope?

Hi all,

While taking apart an iPhone 4S this week, I appear to have accidentally damaged the display connector on the logic board. I've tried two known-working displays, neither of them display anything.

Seen below is a picture of the damage:

The green arrows point to the part of the connector which I believe broke off. The red arrows point to the other side of the connector which is still intact.

Is there any hope for the board or is it now garbage?

I've been fixing iPhones for over a year now so I'm more than capable with it, however I'm not very comfortable soldering and unless I have no other options, I'd rather not have to try it.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe Crozier, that most certainly looks like a solder job to me. Not an easy fix. Unless you have a rework station, a microscope, and plenty of experience in soldering small connection,I would try and find someone that does board level repair.
