Why my MacBook Pro doesn't recognise my hard disk?

I've tried to install windows on my macbook pro 15'' (A1150) but there was an error with Disk Utility, so i've try to restart but it stay on the folder logo and a no entry sign. I've remove the hard disk and format it via windows using transmac and install it. what should i do next please help....

I've got a hard disk from a laptop which was using windows. Need to format it and put in on the Mac.

Chosen Solution

You've scrambled or destroyed the MBD. The Disk Utility Error was a sign that the drive was failing or miss-formatted. You might be able to unlock and format the drive from a windows box.
