LVDS cable broken? (See picture)

Hello,

See the picture:

Is this probably the LVDS cable which is broken or could there be a lot more other (more expensive) defects?

MacBook works fine when I plug it into an external monitor.

Thank you in advanced for your kind answers!

chris, that actually looks like a bad panel.Of course you could try and reseat the LVDS panel etc, but ultimately it appears as if it is a panel error.

Agree it's the LCD. It's easy to replace without breaking the glass if you have experience.

Guys, anyone can help… I had a flickering screen and after manipulating with the LCD cable on my MacBook Air 13 2011 it was changing the behavior… so I decided to replace it. Order the part, realized that I need to open the screen ( not so nice but I managed) and replaced the cable. Unfortunately now I only see the white screen with a few stripes across it… no matter if I use the new one or the old one, always the same… Any idea what have I screwed up? :) Maybe I just need to reset the LVDS panel? How to do it?

Thank you
