Loose 1.25cm pin inside iBook?

Upon opening an iBook G4 to replace its hard drive, I noticed a small metal pin(approx. 1-1.25cm in length and about the diameter of a straight pin or fine mechanical pencil lead). If fact, I thought it was a straight pin at first, only shorter and with cleanly cut blunt ends. Fortunately, it was caught on the adhesive of the tape holding down the wires of the DC in board. Does anyone know where this might have come from? Or if it's even a part of the iBook at all?

I worked on many of these 12" 1.33ghz units and never saw this "pin" so I don't think it's a ibook part. You're just lucky that the pin did not shorted your logic board.
