Patrick, solder pads still look like they are attached, that is great. This way you will only have to solder your connector back onto the board. If you have never soldered before, get a couple of old boards and practice first. Check this series on youtube and see if this looks like something you want to tackle. Hope this helps, good luck.

right, so do I add the solder to the part that broke off or on to the logic board? and how do I keep the solder hot enough so that I can attach it before it cools?

Patrick, check the video links for advise on how to solder. All those questions will be resolved by learning how to solder:-) It is actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

I have soldered before but as this is an iphone I don't want to mess it up by heating something for too long or messing something up, I have soldered before with other things though, yet this requires precision which I don't think I'd be able to do very well..
