That doesn't appear to be the correct serial number. See if you have one starting with a W. This can also be found under the Apple > about this Mac > more info > Hardware

Yes - there is a limit... depending upon the exact model, age and OS it could be 4 to 16GB. That's why it's important to ID your equipment when asking Questions. The more we know the more accurate our answers can be.
