Original Question:

Replaced HD Now computer will not power on

Model Hard Drive I used to replace dead one is the following:

1.0TB Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch, SATA 6.0Gb-s, 7200RPM internal hard drive, MODEL #ST1000DM003

My original hard drive was also a Seagate.

Once I changed the dead one to the new one listed above, the computer will not power up whatsoever?

Perhaps, I made an error in which type of HD to use as replacement? If so please send a link to the exact one I should re-order so I can get up and running once again. Thank You!!

Paul - instead of creating "new" Questions relating to the same problem it is ok, and probably wiser, to use the comment link at the top right of your Question or his Answer to make comments/ask questions. These can be to your original Question or, to one of Meyer's Answers. He should be automagically notified, by the forum software, at least daily, that you've posted something new.

This drive is listed by OWC as compatible for your machine. Please describe what your symptoms were before that lead you to replacing the drive. Are you getting any green diagnostic lights on the logic board?
