What is wrong with my car?

My malibu is a 2003, When i start the vechicle it shakes, and when i apply the gas, there is no power. It wont move forward or back. The exhaust is very bad when given gas. What could be the problem?

This could be lots of things. Bad fuel pump, bad fuel filter, bad head, poor ignition timing etc. Give us some more information. First the basics. What engine is it? What transmission? What have you tried to fix this? Did these issues just start?
