I have a brand new SSD(240g) in my optical drive & would like to swop it with my HDD(750g).
The SSD will be my boot drive so can you explain how to set up & keep my bigger files on my HDD.

Ok guys i'm new to moving files thing.
I've selected the SSD as start up & now all my apps are ???
Also when i click on Lightroom i have to register it again.
How can i play music from my HDD while booted from SSD?
Is this possible?
I installed the SSD for faster load times & no beach ball.
I have max 8g Ram too.
You have to register Lightroom as you've booted from a new system file that does not have the registration information on it. You make a shortcut to the iTunes Music and the 4 loose iTune files but those short cuts must be in the "expected" place e.g. in User->Music->iTunes (same with non functioning apps-make short cuts at the "expected" location). Another way to "fix" iTunes is to Hold down the Option key while you open iTunes.
In the window that appears,
Choose a different library: Click to Choose the Library.

You do it the same way you would with the SSD as the file storage area. Nothing is really changing other than you are installing the OS on the SSD, choosing it as the boot partition/drive in System Software, and keeping your files on the HDD. You don't actually have to physically move anything.
