A friend of mine has an issue with his iphone 4s, he told me that the loud speaker doesn't work when trying to play music, however, when its in his docking station it works perfect. Also works fine with headphones... Is this as simple as replacing the speaker/antenna at the bottom of the phone? He said when the phone is out of the docking station it thinks its still docked??

it will probably be the speaker at the bottom.
i have seen iphone with the same problem that needed a new dock connector.
try replacing the speaker first.
