Mouse pointer in upper left & airport wont turn on

I decided to dust out my macbook and after I got everything replaced the mouse pointer sits in the upper left corner of the screen and the airport card will not turn on.

I double checked the connections on the logic board and all seems fine.

I am able to use an external mouse, but the strange thing is the "middle" USB port will power, but not move the cursor when I plug in the mouse.

The "top (nearest the magsafe)" USB port will power and move the mouse pointer.

I've did the SMY & NVRAM resets and still the issue remains.

Is the logicboard "somewhat" fried? The macbook powers up, boots to OSX and I am able to do everything else.

Try reconnecting the trackpad to logicboard connection found in this guide: MacBook Unibody Model A1278 Trackpad Replacement

I tried that and the problem still is present.

The pointer is in the upper left corner. The pointer does not move, but the click button works.

Also, I cannot seem to understand why the airport card would be unable to turn on. That issue coincided with this issue.

How far did you tear the machine down while cleaning it out?

I completely removed the logic board when cleaning.

You may have damaged the trackpad cable. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number so I can take a look at the part.
