My clutch cover is cracked. Not sure if Apple will cover it under warranty. They told me the only way to replace it is to replace the entire screen at a cost of nearly $700. I've seen the ifixit teardown and it looks like it just snaps on and off. Is there a source for a replacement clutch cover so that I can replace it and not the whole screen.

I'd sure see if you can get Apple to cover it under warranty as the parts for this machine are just not out there yet.
