Broken sockets on logic board. Safe to move forward?

While trying to swap out the speakers on my MacBook Pro the connectors to both the heat sync and left fan broke. Both have a silver metal post in the plastic casing. Both broke on the right side of the pins facing the input side. For those of us who lack the steady hands of experience, is it safe to move forward or is this logic board toast?

If someone more knowledge than I could also please briefly explain the anatomy of these sockets as well it would be greatly appreciated.

The board is toast. Soldering logic boards is not a DIY project. It requires special tools, solder and lots & lots of practice. A local electronics shop might take this on - if not logic board replacement (if cost effective) is the only way to go.
