Can the connector on the logic board for the display be replaced?

I have a 64gb Itouch that I do not feel like replacing, only problem is the metal case is damaged and the screen keeps falling out, but by some miracle the screen has yet to break. However, the cable for the screen that is easiest to get to has come loose so many times and I've had to reattach it so many times that the connector on the logic board is damaged and now I can't get any image on the screen, not even a blank white screen. Is this fixable if I can get a part to fix it with? I do have knowledge of circuit board soldiering if that's relevant. Thanks in advance.

Hi Chris,

It seems to me that it is fixable. It is the FPC connector. See here:
