Can I reattach this Samsung Galaxy Europa GT-15500 connector?

I'm not kidding, I only want to be sure that is impossible. My cusin take of this connector with a little bit (Ok, maybe not a little bit) of brute force. Is possible reattach it? The most problematic point is that look like some contacts had lost their metallic part on the motherboard (instead in others there).

Giovanni Riva, yes you can but it needs to be soldered and you need to repair the solder points. First off, the connector is a Samsung GT-B3310 - Flex Connector / FPC part number 3708-002015 and it is available at places like this It is the touch screen connector It needs to be soldered onto the logic board. Get a soldering iron with a very fine tip and resolder it after you repair the traces, which could be difficult, you will have to remove the top green layer very carefully with a razor blade, exacto knife etc and then solder directly to those. Let us know if you are up to it and if you have the right tools.

Ok, I wish my uncles had one of that soldering. For the connector I tried to register to the site, But I don't understand the "backorder" thing.

by

Giovanni Riva,. what site told you the backorder? Is it the site with the part? We can probably find it somewhere else as well. Click on my Avatar and check my email address, I can possibly help you out with the soldering iron issue.

Yes I tried to register on the site that you posted. Only to see what they say about shipping... Before buy it I want to take of the geen layer becouse It look very dificult and if I make some mistakes I save the money :D then I'll buy the connector. I sent you a e-mail anyway.

should I scrape the geer layer?

by

yes, but you will have to be very careful with that, you do not want to tear the traces
