Options

Touch screen isnt responsive

Have replaced lcd and digitizer screens but still no touch function working.

Home button functioning fine no problem and screen display is fully functioning. Has anyone any further options or ideas that i could try?

Seems a shame that i cant get the stupd thing to work especially after buying replacement parts.

Also please note that this ipod is in good condition no water damage or excessive falls.

Calvin Kissane, of course you do want to recheck your work, just to make sure all your connectors are properly seated etc. If that is all okay, I would contact the vendor and request a new part. It is not uncommon to receive replacement parts that are not working, especially digitizers.

Hey Oldturkey03, fair point but i have rechecked my work a number of times OCD and this is the second digitizer that has been fitted but with no luck still and from two seperate vendors, appreciate the comment though

As a matter if interest if I tried a screen off a second generation iPod would that work ?

It would work only if both touches are 8GB.
