Can I swap LCDs between iPod video and classic?

Can I use an LCD from an iPod classic in an iPod video? Both are 80gb. The classic has a good LCD w/ multiple other problems (bad HD and LB). The video is in great shape but has lines on the LCD. Can I use the classic LCD in the video? I only have 1 on hand right now or I would have already tried it. Thanks.

Thanks, your experience is invaluable! The iPod video LCD's have gotten very expensive both here in the US and in Asia! Just hoping the Classic might work.

shaddock4, no you can not. Different dimension and different connection. I tried it and know for sure, it's a no go. Hope this helps, good luck.
