Tom, it is most likely cheaper and easier to replace the DC power jack. It will be anywhere between $5-$10 or get the complete DC power jack assembly part number SN181300C2 for about $20 Check [http://VGN-FS645P|on here] for the disassembly. At least then you know that it is fixed. The port replicator has the part number VGPPRFS1 and is available used at places like this. Hope this helps, good luck.
