Can I get out of Safe Mode after water damage?

Dropped my Nexus 7 (32gb, WiFi, 4.2) in the bath. Removed the back, dried everything out gently over several days, but now it will only boot up in safe mode.

Did factory reset, everything re-loaded, wifi works as can access emails, but cannot access any other post-purchase loaded App because I cannot get it out of Safe Mode.

Are there any suggestions apart from "Buy a new one"?

It might still be damaged from water, Try taking it fully apart and bathing it in denatured alcohol. Use a some what small paint brush or some other soft brush, Brush everything inside with the alcohol, Should dry vary quickly. Reassemble and try and see if it works correctly.

Let me know how it turns out.

Hope this helps

Thanks qpunk, I will give this a go when I acquire the denatured alcohol (and after I take a brave pill!).

I will let you know the result.

If you are based in the UK there is a company that i used to repair mine, they used some sort of board cleaner to get mine working again and it only cost me 20 quid :)
