Siemens C470IP speaker Issue, Hands free working.

Hi all,

I have a Siemens C470ip home phone and having problems hearing the caller thru the internal speaker. They can hear me and if I put the phone to handsfree it works ok as well.

It appears the internal speaker may be cactus but was wondering if I'm missing a setting somewhere. I have had a look thru the manual but to be honest I just can't find anything relevant.

Manual here: https://www.mynetfone.com.au/media/suppo...

If anyone has done a tear down on one of these I would love to hear your advise as well. Have used my toolkit that I purchased recently to try and prise it open but I really feel like something is going to break the way I'm going.

Your assistance greatly appreciated.

Dean Hone, take a look at this video It is not a C410 but a Gigaset series phone anyway. It looks like all the Siemens Gigaset handsets open in a similar fashion.

Hey thanks for that, did the trick. The toolkit did the job nicely, surprising how tight the phones are clipped together.

Found the faulty speaker, the trick is now to find a replacement. Its an older unit and out of warranty so no hope of getting one from Siemens.

Am on the lookout for any Siemens phone and I'll adapt the speaker into my unit.

Many thanks for the video link.

That video was lame; looks like an advertisement for technical gloves. . .It should have been shot from the side so you can actually see the %#*@ tools the technician is using.
