Lock Button not working after Digitizer Replacement

So i have changed the digitizer and soldered the connectors for the home button and digitizer.

Now when i press the lock button nothing happens unless i hold it and eventually it gives the option to turn off.

I noticed this question has been asked but at this moment there is no solution in that question:)

Many Thanks

I am having this exact same issue with an iPad 2. Tomorrow morning I am going to try a new cable to see if that fixes it. I will let you know.

Hello, I have the same problem and wanted to ask if you figured out how to fix the problem after replacing the digitizer and home button after being soldered together. Thanks.

So after much fiddling, I discovered there was an issue with the Smart Cover auto lock sensor. If you go in and turn off the Smart Cover lock you can lock and unlock. Then, at least with mine, you can turn it back on and everything is back to normal. Hope this helps!
