iPhone fell in the pool

My iPhone 3G 8 gb fell into the pool.

everything works but the battery only holds for maximum 24 houres.

Im not shure if it could be a bad battery or if one of the cable connecers might make a bad connection and cause it to waste battery.

since it has a water damage, it could be anything - the water get's into the phone and shortens many parts - maybe you can save it - but there is no way to guarantee anything.

get some high % isopropyl (>90%) and clean the pcb - but be careful - there are many instructions for that matter on the internet (not only iPhone specific)
