Sony Vaio T series Ultrabook only receive 2.4 wifi bandwith

I have the above ultrabook. My wifi receiver only is able to log on the 2.4 GB band. I would like to change the wifi card to a dual band receiving both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz band of wifi.

Any idea how to get to my wifi adapter card in my ultrabook? I cannot figure out how to disassemble the unit and find the wifi card.

Any recommendations on what to buy for replacement.

Thanks

Thira, get the manual for the T-series from here. Page 14 is the one that you are looking at. I seems that your computer uses a Intel Pro 2200BG network connection and the connector being a MiniPCI type 3B. You could try to use a Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection which uses the same connection, has the same dimensions but supports the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz spectrum. I do not have any information if your computer does support the 5ghz, but you won't lose the 2.4ghz. you also want to take a look on here for the setup. Should be pretty much the same for your computer. Hope this helps, good luck.
