ive had my Macbook for around 4 years and naturally over that time it has been placed on many surfaces. Because of this the writing on the bottom where the model number would be is gon. im trying to use the Macbook ID program on this sight but i cant find another way to find the module number.

If it will boot up just go under the Apple to "about this Mac", more info. That first page should show you your serial number. If your machine has a removable battery, the number will be on the case under it.
