iPod touch 4th gen power not working after screen replacement.

I've been doing repairs for a while. Never have I cut or ripped the power button cable in the process of replacing the screen. However, on some of my jobs I've noticed that the power button does not work. How does this happen? How can it be fixed? And how do I avoid it in the future? Everything else works.

It breaks when you lift the logic board and the cable gets caught (there's 2 circles) and usually breaks there. You have to be very careful or move it out of the way. Some are really tricky.
