Hi I have just fitted a new power button as well as a new power flex cable. For some reason the button doesnt work, nor does it click, even though the flex cable part of the button has a tiny plastic circle. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Since it doesnt click, perhaps you reinstalled the physical button incorrectly. Make sure that the swinging handle bar is on the bottom when inserting it into its housing compartment.
You may also want to look closely whether or not they circle on the button, and the button on the flex align properly.

I recently replaced the power button on my own phone and ran into the same problem (among others). I found if you leave both screws on the power button bracket unscrewed by about a half to a full rotation it allows room for the button to click.
