Logic board removal problem,

Trying to bake the logic board. (See: http://russell.heistuman.com/2010/04/27/...)

Followed the disassembly instructions at: MacBook Pro 15" Core Duo Model A1150 Logic Board Replacement

My machine seems to be slightly different, as the connectors on the wires coming from the right fan are of different shape, black in color. Not sure how to disconnect without damaging. Took picture, see attached here, but will email to anyone who could help.

I just noticed, that I was using the instructions to a different model MacBook. But still, looking at the correct instructions, they state to use the spudger and lift the connector upwards. Is that really so? These connectors seem to want to open in the horizontal direction, but my eyes may be lying to me.

Your right these edge connectors have detents on the horizontal sides.

You'll need to pry with slight pressure on the short side ends (both ends at the same time) rocking it. If you have strong finger nails and can grasp the connector sides it will come out that way as well.

Upon a bit more digging, I found out the these are Pico-EZmate connectors 9http://rhu004.sma-promail.com/SQLImages/...) and just tugging lightly on the wires upward allowed me to easily disconnect them.

And the best news is that after "baking" the logic board at 380 F for 8 minutes, and applying new thermal compound, my MacBook Pro is back in operations. Hats off the Julia Child of Mac logic boards!!!!!!
