Oluseun, that can be caused by multiple errors. Check to make sure that you have enough antifreeze, check the hoses to your heater core, the top one should get hot/warm. Stuck thermostat could also keep it from getting heat. You also want to make sure that your heater fan works, and that the flap servos are working.

What model/engine ?

Typically it's the heater valves as well as the electric pump for the heater matrix;

This might help, it's for M67 engine but the part is largely the same for other engines too (as well as other models like E32 and E31)

have new thermostat just the power supply to the small pump 6v but pump states 12v no power from black plug only white plug 6v is there a re lay for this unit
