Why is motor clicking when starting engine

When starting motorcycle the motor clicks and don't know why

Does the clicking come when you are trying to start and the motor won't start. If this occurs then your battery is either very low or need to be replaced. Just had a simular issue with a tractor.

if starter motor is clicking when you go to fire up bike,then it can be 2 things,1 battery is low on charge ie 0.1 volts below normal,2 if you have a factory fitted alarm this will drain voltage on battery.simple to fix,Either buy new gel battery or buy a optimate3 or higher,and plug straight in to charge when bike is not in use,this will put your battery into full power state for next when you use it.
