when i use lunchpad i have all my applications in different folders but as soon as i downloaded some software for my bamboo graphics tablet my folders in launchpad wont open up just a line comes up then goes away as if it is trying to open. i have tried to reset launchpad but no use.

Toss your launchpad .plist file (User/Library/Preferences). Many wonky software issues are caused by a damaged/corrupt preference file.
