The touchscreen is not working

Hi there

I did a tear-down on Kindle Fire HD for some personal research and put it back together and now the touch screen doesn't work.

Same thing happened on another tablet.

Not sure if there is some mechanical latch or something that's not working.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Disassemble it once more and double check your work. Check to make sure that you have the digitizer connector properly seated.

Maybe there is something wrong with the flex cable of the digitizer touch screen. It's easy to break off the fragile flex cable if you assembled improperly. You'd better contact the repair center.

If you now have two non-working tablets as the result of your tear downs, you might want to consider another line of work.
