Why is my ipad 2 not response when I touch the digitizer?

Hi all i have a broken digitizer on my ipad 2. After replacement able to power up but not responsing when i touch any area of the screen. Unable to slide to unlock. Initially thought was the new faulty digitizer that i had bought online but after i got the 2nd replacement the issue is still remains. Can any kind souls help me on this issue? I have tried reset all settings and ios still the same issue. Thank you.

Where did you buy the Digitizers ? You could have bought 2 bad ones depending on where you got them.

Options

Two things. Either a bad digitizer or you damaged the digitizer connector on the motherboard when you connected it.

I would avoid buying digitizers on eBay, as I'm sure most of them aren't run through a quality control check. I bought one on eBay a year ago for my iPad and about 2-3 months later dead spots started occurring on the digitizer. When I received it, I thought it felt kinda flimsy compared to the original digitizer. I recommend buying from a quality provider like etechparts.com as they have weeded out the Chinese companies that provide garbage products. I just recommend spending a little extra money and get the iBic digitizer. All parts from etechparts come with a 90 day warranty.
