Hard drive dying, need to copy files

I went to my local apple store today to troubleshoot a problem with my hard drive. He said that it had some bad sectors and explained that is why it would not boot. He recommended a replacement of my hard drive and that I hook up the old one to a sled to copy over my files.

A brief search of the web shows sleds as just racks. Any idea how a sled is used to connect my old hard drive to use as a secondary drive long enough to just drag and drop the files that I need?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The computer is a PowerBook G4 15".

Consider getting an external drive for Time Machine backups and storage. Best Buy online has the Western Digital MyBook 1TB drive on sale for just under $80.00 with free shipping.
