So my husband washed our ipod touch, charged it up and it was fine except one thing, when i press play on a song it acts like its going to play the song for a second then doesn't play and reverts back to the song list. What should I do? I restarted the ipod and it still has the same problem! Is it electrical? maybe?

Mary Primeau, the very first thing you want to do is to clean your iPod. As with any other device, if you do not clean it, you will run into corrosion failure. Use this guide to disassemble your iPod. Then use this guide to clean it. The guide was written for a iPhone 3G but all the steps are still pertinent to your iPod. Use a soft brush and some +90% isopropyl alcohol. Do not forget to clean the cable ends and dock connector. Once cleaned and dry, install a new battery and disassemble your iPod to re-evaluate. Take it to ur local cell phone repair shop. They should be able to repair water damage.
