Two different iPhone 4S battery connectors on logic board.

Have a iPhone 4S that doesn't have the little connector that everyone is breaking. My original battery connector just seems to lie on the pads with the two screws holding it securely in place. I bought a new battery and it needs to clip into the connector that I don't have. I'm wondering if there are two different battery connectors or did I break something that I haven't noticed.

Thanks.

Ed

Update

Thanks for the help. I did pull the connector off the board it was stuck to the battery cable the whole time. Now I have to send this phone out to get fixed because soldering is not my thing. Good thing I got this phone for free.

Sounds like you lifted the logic board battery connector. To replace battery you need to unscrew and remove the two battery connector screws. Then remove the silver metal battery flex connector from the black tray which is soldered to the logic board by the 4 solder pads. If this is not possible you have lifted it. Just be very careful and hopefully you can sort it all out.
