Broad vertical stripe through the screen after replacement.

So I just replaced my screen and I have a broad, vertical stripe down the right side. I'd like to think I've done everything correctly, followed the guide here step by step, no screws or parts left over......but I obviously did something wrong. Any suggestions?

Hi

Sounds like a faulty screen to me, i would recommend that you replace it again, however it may be worth your while to check 2 things

1) Make sure the 2 cables that feed the digitizer and the LCD are fitted on properly sometimes if they are ot fully down you can get stripes on the screen

2) A long shot but before you fit the screen on there is normally some plastic on the silvery bit that you must tale off, if it isnt it can sometimes give you a funny picture

if both of the above are ok and done then it looks like the replacement screen may be faulty

Regards
