Unable to read from memory device

Whenever I die on a game, it comes up with 'Unable to read from memory device, please check that the device is inserted correctly.

I know nothing about this sort of thing and I have been told this cannot be fixed, is this true? :(

This is on a PS3? Does it happen when you play online? does it happen on every game?

I have only tried it on black ops 2

Does it happen when you play online or when you play offline as well. This error is more common on the xbox and usually resolves by recovering your player profile. BTW nice graphics but the missions were better in the original black ops :-)

This is true hah!

I asked at work and he told me to push the hard drive in as it may have came out, I didn't even have to do that I just blew the dust away and it worked!
