iPhone 3G 8GB Doesn't charge or sync

The dock connector seems to work fine but it doesn't charge and get recognize on itunes. Also, the phone keeps turning off when it sits idle. I switch out the battery, and dock connector and it still has the same problem. So I am guessing it is the logic board?

I may be wrong, but I think it may be your power supply that is malfunctioning.

giovanni, you are obviously not taking about the same phone. This question is almost 2 years old. I would suggest that you ask your own question, click on this link http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/new/Device/i... Let us know what happened to your phone and what you have tried to fix it etc.
