iPod nano is not responding

I was listening to a song on my IPOD NANO and then after the song was finished I went to the next song. As soon as I went to the next song it stopped responding. I don't know what to do. My IPOD NANO is the first generation.

Syeda Zahra Khan, start by trying to reset your Nano.

Toggle the hold switch a few times.

Turn off hold switch.

Hold down the Menu and Select buttons at the same time.

Wait 8 to 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears.

you may have to repeat it a couple of times. Make sure that your iPod is charged. Hope this helps, good luck.
