Is Seagate Momentus XT compatible with my MBP?

MacBook Pro 13 2522 Unibody Mid 2010

Hello,

I bought the hdd Momentus XT 750gb, hybrid drive, put it into external drive case (USB), formated it, created one partition, used carbon copy cloner to create a clone from the original hdd. Then restarted MBP by using external drive for booting as a test. All worked fine, but after replacing old hdd with the clone, MBP couldn't detect the new hdd/clone, i.e a folder image with questionmark inside was shown on the display. Do you have any idea how t fix it? There was one hint from apple forum to replace the SATA cable. What do you recomend?

Best Regards

Pawel

Check your 2522 number.

Your new hard drive is probably to fast, it's 6 GB.

The original drive was a 3GB.

Here's how to set it by using he jumpers: http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en...
