My home button "finger" broke, is this a problem?

Hello fixers,

I recently tried to repair my home button so I disassembled my phone and removed the button from the gasket.

After checking it on dirt I wanted to reassemble the button and the gasket but unfortunately one of the "fingers" of the actual button broke off.

I'm talking about these little fingers, one side is still intact.

Is that reducing the feedback of the home button or can I just leave it like that?

(I still have an unresponsive home button because my part didn't arrive yet, so I can't tell...)
