Socket on motherboard fallen apart

Hi,

I was replacing a fried airport card in my MacBook, and while removing the cable that connects the reed switch to the motherboard, the littler socket it fits into basically disinigrated and all of the metal pins fell off as well as the plastic surrounding them. Is there any way to replace this socket without having to replace the whole motherboard?

This is causing the MacBook not to sleep when the lid shuts and erratic behaviour she in sleep mode.

Many thanks in advance...

You can try sending in the Logic Board to www.Powerbookmedic.com . They have a repair program for logic boards. Otherwise you would need to replace the whole board.
