Is it possible to download a Snow Leopard partition on lion?

I want to create a partition for SL on my mac, but it says i can't install a previous version of OSX on a newer version.

running OSX 10.7.5

Options

Unlike other versions of OS-X Lion and Mountain Lion have hidden partitions to hold recovery files (assuming you did a full install). So you can't create a partition to host Snow Leopard on the same drive.

But, you can setup an external or second internal HD with Snow Leopard and then select it as the boot volume.
