Broken display cable socket and pull tab
While removing the display cable connector from the socket, I made the mistake of pulling it up, not straight away. As a result, the pull tab came off from the connector and the small copper bridge on top of the socket popped loose on one side. Of course, now the display doesn't work.
My question is whether the copper piece is soldered in place so that I can simply tack it back down. I can get the connector back into the socket okay, even without the pull tab attached.
I think the connector and socket are otherwise not damaged.
Is this a good question?
