after new earpiece and battery, screen won't work

i replaced the earpiece speaker and battery in my iphone 4s following the ifixit directions and various vids on youtube. after re-assembly the screen and digitizer will not work.....

the power button powers on the phone and i get text alerts but phone calls go directly to voicemail. if i plug it into the computer i get the audio alerts from the phone and the comp that it's plugged in.

i can take screenshots using both buttons and i can hard reset the phone using both buttons, but nothing on the screen will show or work.

i'm pretty sure i assembled properly and i took it back apart twice to see if i missed something. is there some secret procedure or trick that i missed on the screen ribbons? or perhaps the ribbons got damaged?

also does it matter that i used magnetized screwdrivers?

First off, magnetized screwdrivers are fine, I would try a hard reset first, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwY0Cx47m..., if that doesn't work I would check your LCD Digitizer connections again and if you cant find a problem with them the only solution would be to change your screen assembly, you could have damaged the Ribbon cables during your speaker replacement although the odds of that would be low, good luck, If this answer was helpful please remember to mark it accepted

yes i've tried the hard reset several times to no avail.....i guess i will go ahead and order up a screen/digitizer assemby.....
