16GB AT&T iPhone4 Leftover part after power button fix?
I had to remove the power button (as well as all components around it such as the PCB, front facing camera, etc) in order to replace the rubber spacer sitting between the power ribbon and the power button to restore the responsive "click" when the button is depressed. After re-assembly, I noticed that when opening the camera app the shutter remains closed and after a period of time (around 30 - 40 seconds), the phone will restart as if it crashed while attempting to connect to the camera. Neither the rear camera nor the light will work. After looking around, I realized that I had one part left over and have no idea where it goes. It does not look like the grounding fingers that I see posted for other iPhone models. I have confirmed that the jumper and ribbon cables are not damaged, so I suspect this leftover part is the culprit.
I have uploaded it to the following location (sorry for the blurriness; I can try to take a better one if needed): http://i48.tinypic.com/kb503.jpg
Is this a good question?
