Headphone Jack not working, after Screen Replacement?

Hi,

After replacing a broken LCD screen, my headphone jack has stopped working. Everything else works as before.

Solutions already tried :

1) Cleaning with Q-tip

2) Blowing Compressed Air

Both solutions didn't work.

Also, took apart the phone again & put it back together. That didn't help either!

What might be the issue? Any and all suggestions are welcome.

You could have damaged the ribbon cable that connects the headphone jack to the logic board, I would replace it after making sure its plugged in correctly and still not working, the cable has a new jack on it so your covering all bases, iPhone 4 Headphone Jack & Volume Control Cable Replacement, here is the cable, https://www.gounlock.com/details.php?ite..., good luck, If this answer was helpful please remember to mark it accepted

Hi Mitch,

Thanks a lot for your answer. The ribbon cable was indeed broken, & so close to the jack itself that cursory exam didn't show it.

Had to take it out completely to actually see it.

Ordered a new jack assembly, hopefully fix it over the coming weekend.

Thanks again!
